Binge Watching: Not binge watching any shows at the moment, but this household is having a blast cheering on the Sweetwater team in the Little League World Series, and I always love a good season of Project Runway.
Craving: Breakfast…at any hour. And I mean eggs and bacon-breakfast, not some yogurt and granola stuff. I may or may not have tried to convince the husband how much fun it would be to have breakfast for dinner tonight for the “kids’ sake” even though I already had it for breakfast. Confused? So is he.
Lunching: Leftovers are my main squeeze at lunchtime. Husband packs them up real nice for me, and sends me on my merry way. On the days we don’t have any we stick to a solid diet of PB&J.
Doing: Back-to-School shopping, and a (slightly delayed) major spring cleaning of the house, starting with the kids’ room yesterday. They sure enjoyed the pregnant lady on the floor barking (by barking I of course mean politely giving) orders to them, and urging some serious purging of toys that haven’t made their way out of the toy chest in a few years; they did a great job! And then this step-momma stepped in to do the final review (read: threw everything away that looked remotely extraneous) and thorough vacuuming. Their response: “It looks like we’re moving!” Apparently we don’t clean their room enough…
Obsessing: Breakfast. Did I not make myself clear the first time? Oh and Zulily, which is dangerous.
Loving: Sharing this special time with my husband, kids, friends and family. The kids’ excitement is contagious, as if I don’t have enough of my own. This new little babe, although not here yet, is bringing us closer already and it makes my whole heart smile.
Wanting: A nap. Even though I’m not tired all the time anymore thanks to the welcome arrival of the second trimester, I could always settle in for a good nap.
Pinning: Sorry I’m not sorry to those who follow me on Pinterest for the inundation of adorable baby clothes!
Dreaming: Of a beach vacation and a new home. Both are dreams at this point that I sincerely hope to make real.
Writing: A few new blog posts all centered on this pregnancy roller coaster: one focused on our baby registry and must-haves, another on how stinking fast this ride is going. Honestly, I am deathly afraid to blink and miss a moment or a month!
Crafting: Nothing at the moment, however have big plans to bust out my knitting needles, re-teach myself to knit (via my patient teacher, YouTube), and make a baby blanket. I think if I put this in writing here I might create some sense of accountability, or guilt. Whichever works.
Listening: Rebelution on repeat.
Wearing: Leggings, over-sized tees, and flats of all shapes. I even caved and got loafers for work. Each time I wear them I remind my husband that I’m just “loafin’ around.” I’m sure this joke has not gotten old, as it cracks me up over and over.
Needing: An extra room or three in our apartment.
Planning: Too much! There is a lot going on in our lives and I’m doing my best to keep us on an even keel while smiling most of the time.
Trying: To cherish each moment we have before baby because as excited as I am, I know our lives will never be the same.
